7 Things you should never do right after eating your meal: We do many things wrongly in our daily life, and below are some of those which we follow daily thinking they are correct. But these habits need to be changed as it affects the health directly.
Here are the 7 things which you should never do right after eating your food
Don’t eat fruits
Eating fruits right after the meal is very unhealthy. It fills the stomach with air. We should consume fruits either 1hr before the meal or 1hr after the meal.
Don’t smoke
Everyone knows that smoking is bad habit, but smokers who light a cigarette immediately after having lunch are at two times greater risk of cancer. In fact, one cigarette after eating has the same effect as 10 cigarettes would have.
Don’t Drink Tea
In Turkey, it is a custom to have a cup of tea after eating. However, this is bad habit because the leaves contain acid which slows down the absorption of protein.
Consequently, the vitamins are disabled to provide the effect they would normally do. For instance, if your meal is rich in iron, once you drink the tea after eating, your body won`t be able to absorb the iron from the food. Anemic people should be especially cautious. It is recommended to drink tea at least an hour after eating.
Don’t Loosen the Belt
Doing this may result in tangled intestines, which in turn cause twisted bowel.
Don’t Take a Walk
Going for a walk after eating disrupts the function of the digestive system and it prevents absorption of the nutrients. In other words, it destroys the nutritional value of the meal itself. The best would be to take a walk an hour after eating. The same is applied to all kinds of sport and physical activities.
Don’t Take a Shower
The shower increases circulation, especially in the arms and legs, which in turn reduces the circulation in the abdominal area. This leads to improper digestion and heart problems.
Don’t Sleep
Sleeping after a meal has negative impact on digestion and it leads to stomach issues. In addition, it makes you more prone to obesity.
